Adults tend to pursue horseback riding lessons for several different reasons. Some wish to only become more educated riders, while others are on a path of self-discovery, stress management and/or becoming more in touch with nature. Don't worry about your skill level as we cater our riding lessons to each person so you can learn as your own pace.
On our beautiful 15-acre property in Issaquah WA, the staff at Deerfield Farm have the ability to cater to all of these reasons. If you have never ridden before or want to get back in the saddle after many years away, we offer riding lessons to all Seattle and Eastside area adults, from Bellevue to Issaquah to Snoqualmie and North Bend WA.
Your lessons will be spent utilizing everything Deerfield has to offer, whether we spend time in the arena creating a connection with the horse, going up to the yoga studio to work on ourselves through simple stretch and meditation practices or performing stress relieving barn chores.
Each interaction has its own purpose and the staff at Deerfield Farm can help create a program that best suits your needs.
Horses offer us the ability to look inside ourselves and experience a whole new level of being. Deerfield Farm encourages you to come out and discover the power these magnificent animals hold.
“A horse will reflect exactly what you need to see about yourself. Are you brave enough to ask? Are you strong enough to listen? Are you humble enough to learn?”
There are 2 options for horseback riding lessons depending on whether you want private or semi-private lessons.
We have the prices listed below along with the length of the lesson. Please call if you have any additional questions.
You’re welcome to change your type of lesson at any time as sometimes people want to increase their lessons once they experience the benefits.
We host Adult Overnight Retreats where our students can spend time to further educate themselves and become more connected with their surroundings.
Overnight activities can include:
It seems everyone has too much stress in their life and too much stress can have negative impacts.
A recent article from Horse & Rider magazine listed many ways that “horse time” will help you relax and find moments of peace in your fast-paced life.
Whatever your reason for wanting to ride, you'll receive all these benefits and much more.
As a 65+ senior, who had never been on a horse until about 10 years ago, I started lessons at Deerfield 2+ years ago. First once a week and now two. I love it and would recommend it to everyone! The trainers and instructors are world class, the horses very well trained and taken care of and the setting is beautiful. Try it. Deerfield is the best of everything.
