D
eerfield Farm offers more then just riding lessons.  We have discovered that through the relationship with horses, students can harness skills like, commitment, hard work, dedication, and awareness.  We have found that attributes such as leadership, service, compassion, and confidence are all traits needed to be successful outside of the barn as well.   We are dedicated to creating extraordinary human beings as well as extraordinary equestrians.  We offer you the opportunity to become a part of our
Young Riders Academy lesson program. We Specialize in Hunt Seat, Western, Equitation and Dressage.
You can make new friends and become the best rider you can under the direction of well educated instructors.  We have been perfecting this program over 35 years.  With hundreds of World and National titles and a nationally acclaimed program I think it's safe to say our formula works!!

Adult Lessons
Youth are not the only ones who benefit from our program.  We also offer lessons to adults.  These lessons give adults the opportunity to experience harmony, balance, courage, and accomplishment in a unique way.  Horses offer us the ability to look inside ourselves and experience a whole new level of being.  Deerfield encourages you to come out and discover the power these magnificent animals hold.

LESSON FORMAT:

  Lessons offered all year around
(morning lessons may be arranged)
 Monday - Friday: 2pm-7pm
 Saturday- 2pm-6pm
  Sunday- 9am-6pm

  • Each new rider must participate in an introductory lesson in order to evaluate his/her riding level/skills. After that lesson, student and instructor will discuss riding goals and decide on the best lesson situation and schedule.

  • Each student must take at least one lesson per week to participate in our school horse program.
  • All students must remain prepaid one full month in advance. All payments are due no later than the 7th day of each month.

  • All lessons must be taken within the month for which they are purchased. Unless you have qualified for a make-up lesson due to a cancellation at which point you have 30 days to schedule a make-up with you instructor.

  • Deerfield Farm requires that appropriate shoes and head protection be worn by all students at all times while mounted on the property. Talk to your trainer about appropriate riding equipment.

 45 min.  private beginner's lesson ($60)

Given to any beginning rider not yet ready to ride in a semi-private lesson. This lesson includes learning how to groom, tack-up, un-tack, ride and care for your horse. Depending on age, skill level and ability, riding time is usually 30 minutes.

One hour semi-private lesson ($60)
Semi-private lessons are the ultimate goal for our students. These lessons are for riders who can safely handle their horses, the semi-private lessons offers more ride time and allows for more interaction and the level of intesity rises (age appropriate) These students can tack-up effectively with help if needed.  Ride time is approximately 50 mins.

* Note * The ultimate goal for all riders should be to join a Semi-private lessons as soon as they are able to, semi-private lessons offer another level of learning that cannot be accomplished in private lessons. Most riders are able to master the basic riding and tacking skills necessary to join a semi-private lesson within 60 days (depending on age).

* Note * In a semi-private lesson the ride time increases as the price stays the same.  We believe that as you add more riders they need more time to ride. We are still able to keep the lesson quality up!

One-hour group lesson (3 riders $50)
During the week and on Sundays we offer a few group lessons. These lessons are geared towards adult students who are advance beginners/intermediate/advance riders.  Please call for available times.

*24hr cancellation policy needed to be eligible for a make-up
